The text book that will be used for this class is Head First Java, Second Edition by Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates. It is probably available at the campus bookstore, Books-a-Million, Barns and Noble, etc. etc. etc. ad nauseum. But, if you want to get it for a really good price go to Amazon.com or the O'Reilly web site.

At Amazon do a search for "Head First Java".   Last time I checked they were selling it for $29.67 which is about a 34% saving off the list price of $44.95. That should also qualify for their free shipping.

At O'Reilly they charge the full list price of $44.95, but if you order two you get a third one free which brings the cost per copy down to the same as Amazon. That is, if you need three copies, or can find two other people taking the course to go in with you.
