Overview

Query-Based Visualization takes advantage of the user only requiring some information to make the data collection more efficient. In particular, my research has focused on providing the data collection of a continuous stream of snapshots of the computation in question. The challenge is to collect as little information as possible (for efficiency reasons) and still provide the information that the user is interested in and guarantee a consistent view of the computation's behavior.

I have also investigated how software agents can be applied to monitoring and steering of large distributed computations. Agents are promising because of they allow functionality to be added easily and dynamically.

• Education: I received my Doctor of Science and Masters in Computer Science at Washington University in August 2000 and May 1995.
  I graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh in May 1993 with a BA in Computer Science and Math.
