- If you are obtaining your software from the campus MSDNAA server, you will need to report to a computer lab. Labs include N327, N328, N329.
- You will need blank CDs and/or DVDs to burn off your software, unless you are going to use an ISO mounting software on your computer.
- The following list shows the number of discs required for each application:
- Microsoft Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 3 - 1 CD
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 - 1 DVD
- Microsoft Windows Server 2008 - 2 DVDs
- Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 - 1 DVD
- Microsoft Windows Vista Business Edition 1 DVD
- Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate - 1 DVD
- Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Professional - 1 DVD
- Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Professional - 2 DVDs
- Microsoft Windows 7 Professional - 1 DVD
- Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Enterprise - 1 DVD
- Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Standard - 1 DVD
- Microsoft Visio Professional 2003 - 1 CD
- Microsoft Visio Professional 2007 - 1 CD
- Microsoft Project Professional 2003 - 1 CD
- Microsoft Project Professional 2007 - 1 CD
- OneNote 2007 - 1 CD
- Virtual PC 2007 - 1 CD
- Virtual PC for Mac - 1 CD
- To download the software to your computer:
- From the Start menu select Run and enter the shared folder
\\cirrus\MSDNAA and find the image of the CD you wish to copy.
- Copy the CD image from the server to the C:\Temp folder on the local machine.
- Repeat for each title you obtained from the E-Academy website.
- Double click an .iso you copied to the C:\Temp folder.
- Easy CD Creator will start. Insert a blank CD into the drive. Wait a couple of seconds for the computer to detect the blank CD you just inserted.
- Click the big, red record button.
- When finished burning, delete the CD images to free up space on the local hard disk drive.
- If you have more ISOs to burn, repeat the steps above from step #5.
- Make sure you delele the ISOs and other files you downloaded from the computer when completely done.
