MSDN SOFTWARE DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS |

|
1) Download and print this MSDNAA Student Use Guidelines and MSDNAA Usage Agreement.
2) To gain access to the software folder, sign the MSDNAA Usage Agreement and bring it to the CS Department administrator's office in room THN318.
3) Bring your blank CD(s) to a computer in the THN329 lab.
The following list shows the number of CDs required for each application:
Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional - 1 CD
Microsoft Windows 2000 Server - 1 CD
Microsoft Windows XP Professional - 1 CD
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 - 2 CDs
Microsoft Windows Vista BUSINESS EDITION - 5 CDs
Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2005 Professional - 5 CDs
Microsoft Macro Assembler 6.11 - 1 CD
Microsoft SQL Server 2000 - 1 CD
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - 2 CD
Microsoft Visio Professional 2003 - 1 CD
Microsoft Project Professional 2003 - 1 CD
Microsoft OneNote 2003 - 1 CD (Comes on the same CD as Visio 2003)
Virtual PC 2007 - 1 CD
Virtual PC 7.0.1 for Mac - 1 CD
Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server - 1 CD
4) From the Start menu select Run and enter the shared folder \\cirrus\MSDNAA and find the image of the CD you wish to copy.
5) Copy the CD image from the server to the C:\Temp folder on the local machine.
6) Double click the .iso you copied to the C:\Temp folder.
7) Easy CD Creator will start. Insert a blank CD into the drive. Wait a
couple of seconds for the computer to detect the blank CD you just inserted.
8) Click the big, red record button.
9) When finished burning, delete the CD images to free up space on the local hard disk drive.
10) Within 24 hours you will receive an email in your Computer Science email inbox with a link, logon, and password from elms_support. |
