Columbus Air Force Base

High Altitude Training

November 13, 2000

On November 13, 2000, a group of eight Redstone Flying Club members made a trip to Columbus AFB (CBM) for high altitude training.  We departed HUA at 5:30 AM in three aircraft (N29RM, N5456K, and N733GQ) and returned at 7:00 PM.  That made for one very long day.  The trip down was made in IFR conditions, but the return trip was in VFR conditions.  The training was top notch and a very good time was had by all.
